Award-winning playwright Robert Ford brings the exciting world premiere of his newest play to FayettevilleMy Father’s War recounts the Normandy invasion through to the Battle of the Bulge as experienced by Art Herzberg, a Jewish kid from Chicago’s North Side, whose adventures read like a Jerry Lewis screwball comedy – at least at  first. In a play reminiscent of both Catch 22 and Broadway's Journey's End, Art’s daughter, actress Amy Herzberg, literally steps into her father’s combat boots to portray a chain of events both farcical and poignant. A fast-moving story that's at once entertaining and profoundly moving.
